Selecting an appropriate dermatological delivery option can be the difference between successful treatments outcomes for various skin conditions. Each vehicle (base) in which the drug is dispersed has characteristics unique to the preparation. We work with practitioners to help choose the best option for each patient condition.
Formulation of preparations requires having the proper personnel, equipment and technique. Our drug production lab is staffed with well qualified persons and equipped with all the necessary tools to make a pharmaceutically elegant product. Our dermatology lab equipment includes an electronic mortar and pestle (Unguator) and an ointment mill (for particle size reduction to assure a smooth feel on skin and drug delivery to the affected area).
Acne Preparations
Most commonly prescribed products are compounds using Retinoic Acid, Clindamycin, Erythromycin, Benzoyl Peroxide, Azelaic Acid, steroids, Dapsone ,and Clotrimazole. All of the above can be custom blended for each patient’s specific type of acne. We work closely with dermatologists to formulate each patient’s unique preparation at affordable prices which most often cost less than the cost of treatment with commercial products on the market. Call for our prices and ability to include multiple drugs in one compound. If your doctor is looking for a non-antibiotic acne treatment a suggestion is to use a niacinamide/lipoic acid cream or gel.
